Greek Unified Earthquake Structure Soil - Geographical Information System

Through the collection of different data type information we have come up with a state of the art Web Geo Information System. This system is providing Structural, Geological, Geophysical, Geotechnical, Borehole, Site Amplification and Earthquake Data on a site.

The Web-GIS application and the relational database has been designed and developed by Lemonia Argyriou and Aris Kydonakis. The requirements and data analysis has been done by Mrs Lemonia Argyriou, Mr Efstratios Zacharopoulos and Mrs Kiriaki Konstantinidou using information provided from different groups.

Specifically, the scientific members that have been thoroughly involved in this project are as follows:

Dr. Alexandros Savvaidis has been the PI of GUESS-GIS.

The Project is 100% financed by the Operational Programme "Education and Lifelong Learning" under the framework of NSRF 2007-2013. Research Funding Program: THALES. Investing in knowledge society through the European Social Fund. More specifically the work presented is part of the Project with title “GEOCHARACTERIZATION”. Project Coordinator is Prof. Antonis Vafiids, Laboratory of Applied Geophysics, School of Mineral Resources and Engineering, Technical University of Crete
